"Trust is the highest form of human motivation. It brings out the very best in people.”
— Stephen Covey, educator and author
In LinkIt’s role as data custodian within K-12 communities, school districts and other local education agencies (LEAs) entrust LinkIt with the personally identifiable information (PII) associated with students and their education records. At the LEA’s discretion, LinkIt may also receive protected information about parents, teachers, administrators, principals, and specialists (individuals who assist LEAs with individualized student action plans).
The LinkIt team is committed to earning LEA trust every day and has launched this Trust Center as a resource for information about how we hold ourselves and our platform accountable to our K-12 community. Trust goes beyond compliance with legislation, security frameworks, and contract terms. There is a measure of empathy that comes from treating others (and their confidential information) as we would like ours treated. Mutual interest and respect are the basis for LinkIt’s shared responsibility model that informs our security and privacy practices.
Our intention is to build and maintain the Trust Center as an easily navigated resource that contains relevant material about security and privacy developed by LinkIt, for example:
The Trust Center will also include links to resources developed by organizations that we trust, for example:
The LinkIt Team hopes that this Trust Center will become a useful resource that demonstrates its commitment to transparency, consistency, mutual respect, and continued improvement.
